Why I Created The Best Deodorant

Why I Created The Best Deodorant

Naming a product “The Best Deodorant” is admittedly a bold move.

But honestly?
After years of researching, testing, reformulating, failing, and trying nearly every natural deodorant available at the time…
the name finally felt earned.

Because this product was never created casually.

It came from necessity.

The Beginning Of The Journey

Back in 2014, after my diagnosis with multiple sclerosis, my entire life changed.

I began looking at wellness through a completely different lens.

What started with food slowly expanded into every area of my life:
household products,
beauty products,
skincare,
and personal care.

I began paying attention to ingredients.
Reading labels differently.
Questioning products I had trusted for years.

And honestly?
Finding truly clean products that actually worked felt almost impossible at the time.

Especially deodorant.

The Natural Deodorant Struggle Was Real

I tried everything.

Natural deodorants that:
stopped working after two weeks,
left rashes,
stained clothing,
burned,
irritated,
or simply did not work at all.

And after enough failed attempts, I kept coming back to one question:

Why do we actually stink in the first place?

Because once I understood the “why,” I realized the solution had to work with the body —
not against it.

We Are Supposed To Sweat

One thing that became very clear to me during my research was this:

Sweating is normal.

The body is designed to sweat.

Many conventional deodorants focus heavily on blocking sweat and overpowering odor with fragrance.

But I wanted to create something different.

Something that supported the skin naturally instead of constantly fighting it.

The Microbiome Changed Everything

The breakthrough came when I began studying the skin microbiome and bacterial balance.

Underarm odor is heavily connected to bacteria balance on the skin.

When the skin’s natural environment becomes imbalanced, odor can increase.

That completely shifted my approach.

Instead of trying to simply mask odor, I focused on supporting healthy bacteria balance using:
live probiotics,
mineral salts,
botanical ingredients,
and pH-supportive formulations.

That became the foundation of The Best Deodorant.

What Makes The Formula Different

At Love + Be Well, we intentionally formulated The Best Deodorant without many of the ingredients people commonly struggle with in natural deodorants.

No baking soda.
No aluminum.
No alcohol.
No heavy residue.
No overpowering fragrance.

Instead, we focused on ingredients that support the skin gently while helping maintain freshness naturally.

The formula includes:

  • mineral salts
  • rose water
  • alcohol-free witch hazel
  • cold-pressed aloe
  • live probiotics
  • essential oils

Simple ingredients working together intentionally.

Why People Connected With It

What surprised me most after launching The Best Deodorant was how many people shared the exact same frustrations I had experienced myself.

People were exhausted from:
constant irritation,
wasted money,
failed natural deodorants,
and products that made them feel uncomfortable in their own skin.

That is why this product became so much bigger than deodorant for us.

It became about helping people feel confident again while still aligning with cleaner living choices.

The Philosophy Behind Everything We Create

At Love + Be Well, every product begins with the same intention:

Create something supportive, nourishing, and thoughtfully formulated without compromising on performance.

Because clean beauty should still work beautifully.

And honestly?
People should not have to choose between effectiveness and ingredients they feel good about using daily.

The Kind Of Wellness We Believe In

One thing I have learned throughout this journey is that wellness is deeply personal.

For me, ingredient awareness became non-negotiable.

Not from fear —
but because I know firsthand how deeply the body can respond to what we consume and surround ourselves with.

That awareness shaped this entire company.

And it continues guiding every formula we create today.

Water, Glow, Repeat

Water, Glow, Repeat

There are so many wellness trends floating around these days.

Morning routines.
Supplements.
Protocols.
Powders.
Potions.
Wellness hacks layered on top of more wellness hacks.

And honestly?
It can become overwhelming trying to figure out where to even begin.

But one thing we continue coming back to over and over again is surprisingly simple:

Drink more water.

Not glamorous.
Not trendy.
Not complicated.

Just foundational.

Why Hydration Matters So Much

Water plays a role in almost everything happening inside the body.

Healthy circulation.
Skin hydration.
Nutrient transport.
Temperature regulation.
Energy.
Digestion.
Detoxification.

Your body depends on it constantly.

And your skin notices when you are not getting enough.

One of the first places dehydration often shows up is in the skin:

  • dullness
  • tightness
  • dryness
  • fatigue
  • puffiness
  • lack of glow

Hydrated skin simply looks healthier, softer, and more radiant.

The Glow Starts From Within

At Love + Be Well, we believe skincare works best when paired with supportive daily habits.

Because glowing skin is not created by products alone.

It is also:
rest,
hydration,
nutrition,
stress support,
movement,
and consistency.

And hydration is one of the simplest places to begin.

Easy Ways To Drink More Water Daily

One thing we know for sure:
busy days make hydration easy to forget.

So here are a few small habits that help make it easier naturally.

Keep Water Beside Your Bed

A glass bottle or carafe beside the bed makes hydration effortless first thing in the morning and throughout the night if needed.

Sometimes the easiest habits are the ones placed directly in front of us.

Start The Morning With Lemon Or Apple Cider Vinegar Water

Many people enjoy beginning the day with:

  • fresh lemon water
    or
  • apple cider vinegar diluted in water

Especially before breakfast.

It can feel refreshing and grounding first thing in the morning.

Some people also enjoy adding vitamin C powder or minerals for extra support.

Carry Water Everywhere

The biggest game changer honestly?

Always having water nearby.

In the car.
At your desk.
At the gym.
Running errands.

Because when water is accessible, you naturally drink more of it without overthinking it.

Dehydration Impacts More Than Skin

Hydration impacts far more than appearance.

When the body becomes dehydrated, it can affect:

  • energy
  • focus
  • digestion
  • regularity
  • stress response
  • circulation
  • recovery

And if you are sweating more than usual —
through exercise, heat, sauna use, or massage —
your body often needs additional hydration support.

Choosing Better Water Bottles

One small switch we personally love?

Choosing glass or stainless steel water bottles whenever possible.

Simple.
Reusable.
Durable.
Less waste overall.

At Love + Be Well, we love wellness habits that feel sustainable and realistic long term.

Wellness Does Not Need To Be Complicated

Sometimes the healthiest habits are still the simplest ones.

Drink more water.
Get outside.
Move your body.
Sleep more.
Feed yourself nourishing foods.
Support your skin gently.

Not every wellness habit needs to be extreme to be effective.

And honestly?
Hydration may still be one of the most underrated beauty rituals there is.

Our Thoughts On Natural Sunscreen

Our Thoughts On Natural Sunscreen

We get asked about sunscreen often.

What do we personally use?
What do we recommend?
How do we approach sun exposure overall?

And honestly?
We believe this is one of those very personal wellness choices where education matters far more than fear.

At Love + Be Well, we always encourage people to research, learn, and decide what feels best for their own body and lifestyle.

Because informed choices matter.

Our Philosophy Around Sun Exposure

We believe healthy sun exposure has value.

Fresh air,
natural light,
time outdoors,
movement,
and daily sunlight all play important roles in overall wellness.

Modern life keeps many of us indoors far more than previous generations.

So rather than fearing the sun entirely, we personally believe in practicing mindful, balanced sun exposure.

Seeking shade when needed.
Avoiding excessive burning.
Supporting the skin consistently.
And using protection thoughtfully when spending extended periods outdoors.

Mineral Sunscreen Is What We Personally Gravitate Toward

When choosing sunscreen, we personally lean toward:

  • mineral-based formulas
  • zinc oxide
  • non-nano options
  • simpler ingredient lists overall

Why?

Because mineral SPF sits more on top of the skin and helps physically reflect UV rays rather than heavily absorbing into the body like many chemical sunscreens.

That gentler approach aligns more closely with our skincare philosophy overall.

Ingredient Awareness Matters

One thing we always encourage is reading the full ingredient list.

Not just the front label.

Words like:
“clean,”
“natural,”
or “reef safe”

can sometimes be misleading without understanding the full formulation.

At Love + Be Well, we personally appreciate formulas with recognizable ingredients and fewer unnecessary additives whenever possible.

Many Botanical Oils Naturally Support The Skin

One thing interesting about plant-based skincare is that many botanical ingredients naturally help support and protect the skin barrier.

That was always intentional in our formulations.

Our skincare philosophy has always focused on:
hydration,
barrier support,
antioxidants,
and nourishment.

Because healthy skin is often more resilient skin overall.

Sun Protection Is About Balance — Not Fear

We are not interested in fear-based beauty or wellness.

We believe in balance.

Supporting the skin.
Protecting the skin.
Enjoying life outdoors responsibly.
And making thoughtful choices where we can.

Because healthy skin should still feel connected to real life.

Things We Personally Keep In Mind

When spending longer periods outside, we personally focus on:

  • seeking shade when needed
  • wearing hats or protective clothing
  • staying hydrated
  • using mineral SPF
  • avoiding excessive burning
  • nourishing the skin afterward

Simple supportive habits consistently matter more than perfection.

The Goal Is Healthy Skin For The Long Run

At Love + Be Well, our approach has always been rooted in supporting healthy skin gently and consistently over time.

Not harsh extremes.
Not panic.
Not impossible standards.

Just thoughtful care,
ingredient awareness,
and nourishing rituals that support the skin beautifully through every season of life.

Love + Be Well,
Natalie

Your Skin Probably Wants Less

Your Skin Probably Wants Less

Feed Your Glow

Feed Your Glow

At Love + Be Well, we talk a lot about nourishing the skin from the outside.

Hydration.
Barrier support.
Botanical oils.
Probiotics.
Healthy rituals.

But glowing skin does not begin and end with skincare products.

What we feed ourselves daily matters too.

Because skin is constantly being built from within.

And honestly?
Some of the best skincare ingredients are sitting in your kitchen already.

Feed Your Glow From The Inside Out

The foods we eat impact:
hydration,
inflammation,
cell turnover,
collagen support,
and overall skin vitality.

At Love + Be Well, we believe beauty and wellness work together.

The goal is not perfection.
It is nourishment.

And when we consistently feed the body supportive foods, the skin often responds beautifully over time.

Antioxidants: The Glow Protectors

One of the biggest skin-supportive categories of foods are antioxidants.

Antioxidants help support the body against oxidative stress caused by free radicals —
things like pollution, stress, UV exposure, and environmental damage.

Think of antioxidants as part of your skin’s daily support system.

Some beautiful antioxidant-rich foods include:

  • blueberries
  • kale
  • spinach
  • broccoli
  • strawberries
  • papaya
  • tomatoes
  • watermelon

The more colorful the plate, the better.

Vitamin C For Radiance + Collagen Support

Vitamin C is one of the biggest stars when it comes to healthy skin.

It helps support:

  • collagen production
  • brightness
  • skin repair
  • overall radiance

Some of our favorite vitamin C-rich foods include:

  • kiwi
  • strawberries
  • oranges
  • sweet potatoes
  • broccoli
  • blueberries

Simple foods with powerful support for the skin.

Healthy Fats Matter More Than People Realize

For years, healthy fats were unfairly demonized.

But healthy fats are incredibly supportive for:

  • skin softness
  • moisture
  • elasticity
  • barrier function

Foods rich in nourishing fats include:

  • avocado
  • olive oil
  • nuts
  • seeds
  • wild salmon

Skin tends to look healthier and more supple when the body is nourished consistently with supportive fats.

Omega-3s For Calm Happy Skin

Omega-3 fatty acids are especially supportive for inflammatory skin concerns.

They can help support calmer, more balanced skin overall.

Some excellent sources include:

  • wild salmon
  • walnuts
  • flaxseed
  • chia seeds

At Love + Be Well, we are huge believers in supporting inflammation gently from both inside and out.

Water Still Matters Most

Sometimes the most underrated beauty habit is still hydration.

The skin needs water to function beautifully.

Dehydration can often show up as:

  • dullness
  • tightness
  • dryness
  • lack of glow

Supporting hydration consistently throughout the day matters far more than chasing trendy quick fixes.

Yes, Dark Chocolate Made The List

Good news.

Dark chocolate actually contains antioxidants and minerals that support overall wellness too.

The key?
Choosing higher-quality dark chocolate with higher cocoa content and less sugar.

Because balance always wins around here.

Beauty Is A Daily Ritual

At Love + Be Well, we believe glowing skin is rarely created by one miracle product alone.

It is usually the result of:
consistent nourishment,
hydration,
rest,
stress support,
healthy habits,
and gentle skincare rituals layered together over time.

Real beauty tends to grow slowly and naturally.

Just like health does.

Eat Beautifully. Glow Naturally.

The next time you grocery shop, think beyond calories or trends.

Think:
“What foods are feeding my skin?”

Because glowing skin is not just created in the bathroom mirror.

It begins long before that —
at the table,
in the kitchen,
and in the small nourishing choices we make every single day.

Probiotic Toner

Why Toner Became One Of Our Favorite Skincare Steps

Toner is one of those skincare steps many people either skip completely…
or use without really understanding why it matters.

And honestly?
Once we began truly understanding what healthy skin needed, toner quickly became one of our favorite parts of a skincare routine.

Not because it feels dramatic.
Not because it delivers instant overnight miracles.

But because it quietly helps support balance.

And healthy skin usually begins there.

What Does Toner Actually Do?

At its core, toner helps refresh and rebalance the skin after cleansing.

A good toner can help:

  • support hydration
  • refresh the skin barrier
  • remove lingering buildup
  • calm the skin
  • prepare skin for serums and moisturizers
  • support healthy-looking balance overall

At Love + Be Well, we especially love probiotic and botanical toners because they feel nourishing rather than stripping.

The skin should feel refreshed after toning —
not tight or dehydrated.

Healthy Skin Loves Balance

One thing we continually return to is this:

Healthy skin is balanced skin.

Your skin naturally maintains a delicate slightly acidic environment that helps support:
hydration,
barrier function,
and the microbiome.

But modern life constantly disrupts that balance.

Over-cleansing,
harsh products,
pollution,
stress,
weather,
and over-exfoliation can all leave skin feeling reactive and depleted.

Toner helps gently guide the skin back toward comfort and balance again.

Hydration Is One Of The Biggest Benefits

One of the things people often notice immediately after using a good toner is how much fresher and more hydrated the skin feels.

Especially when layered underneath:
serums,
facial oils,
or nourishing creams.

At Love + Be Well, we love toners because they create that first beautiful layer of hydration the skin can drink in.

And hydrated skin tends to look:
brighter,
calmer,
softer,
and more radiant overall.

Supporting Sensitive + Reactive Skin

We especially love toners for skin that feels:
red,
inflamed,
tight,
or stressed.

Botanical waters and probiotics can help calm the feeling of irritation while supporting the skin barrier gently.

One thing we personally avoid is overly alcohol-heavy toners that leave the skin feeling stripped or overly dry afterward.

Because skin that feels attacked rarely becomes healthier skin.

Why We Love Probiotic Toners

Probiotics became such an important part of our skincare philosophy because healthy skin contains its own delicate microbiome.

Supporting that ecosystem gently can help skin feel:
more resilient,
balanced,
comfortable,
and calm over time.

That is why our probiotic toners became such staples within so many routines.

They feel less like “correcting” the skin…
and more like supporting it beautifully.

Toner Helps The Rest Of Your Routine Work Better

One of the most overlooked benefits of toner is how beautifully it prepares the skin for everything layered afterward.

Hydrated skin tends to absorb skincare more effectively.

Which means your:
serums,
facial oils,
creams,
and masks…

all tend to layer more beautifully afterward too.

Small step.
Big difference.

The Kind Of Glow We Believe In

At Love + Be Well, we are not interested in routines that leave skin feeling overworked.

We are interested in helping skin feel:
hydrated,
balanced,
comfortable,
soft,
and alive.

Sometimes the most powerful skincare steps are not the loudest ones.

Sometimes it is the quiet consistency of supporting your skin every single day that creates the healthiest glow over time.

And honestly?
That softer glow always feels the most beautiful.

Love + Be Well,
Natalie

Why We Switched To Oil Cleansing

Why We Switched To Oil Cleansing

At first, oil cleansing sounds completely backwards.

Most of us grew up believing the goal was to remove as much oil from the skin as possible.

Especially if you struggled with:
breakouts,
shine,
congestion,
or oily skin.

So the idea of cleansing the skin with oil?
Honestly… it sounds a little crazy at first.

Until you understand how skin actually works.

And then suddenly it makes perfect sense.

The Problem With Over-Stripping The Skin

Many conventional cleansers work by aggressively stripping oils from the skin.

The issue is:
your skin actually needs healthy oils to function properly.

Those natural oils help support:

  • hydration
  • skin barrier function
  • protection against environmental stressors
  • softness and elasticity
  • healthy balance overall

When skin gets stripped repeatedly, it often responds by overproducing oil to compensate.

Which can create the exhausting cycle so many people know well:
oily skin,
tight skin,
breakouts,
over-cleansing,
then even more imbalance afterward.

At Love + Be Well, we prefer supporting the skin rather than constantly battling it.

Oil Cleansing Works With The Skin — Not Against It

One of the core ideas behind oil cleansing is simple:

Oil dissolves oil.

Natural cleansing oils help dissolve:
makeup,
sunscreen,
excess oil,
pollution,
and buildup…

without disrupting the skin barrier the way many foaming cleansers can.

Instead of leaving the skin feeling tight or squeaky-clean, oil cleansing tends to leave skin feeling:
soft,
balanced,
comfortable,
and hydrated.

And honestly?
That difference is huge over time.

Oil Does Not Automatically Mean Breakouts

One of the biggest misconceptions in skincare is that oil automatically causes acne or congestion.

But healthy facial oils are very different from trapped buildup or pore congestion.

Breakouts are often influenced by:
hormones,
bacteria,
dead skin buildup,
stress,
inflammation,
and barrier imbalance.

In many cases, overly stripping the skin can actually worsen oil production and irritation over time.

Gentle cleansing often creates calmer skin overall.

Why We Love Oil Cleansing For Aging Skin

As skin matures, maintaining hydration and barrier support becomes even more important.

Over-cleansing aging skin often leaves it looking:
dull,
dehydrated,
tight,
or more reactive.

Oil cleansing helps support:
hydration,
softness,
comfort,
and glow…

while still effectively cleansing the skin beautifully.

Especially when paired with nourishing ingredients and probiotics.

The Ritual Matters Too

One thing we personally love about oil cleansing is how calming the ritual itself feels.

Massaging warm cleansing oil into the skin.
Using a warm cloth.
Slowing down for a few quiet minutes.

It transforms cleansing from a rushed chore into something grounding.

And honestly?
Skincare should feel nourishing emotionally too.

Supporting The Skin Barrier Gently

At Love + Be Well, barrier support is always a priority.

Healthy skin barriers help maintain:
hydration,
resilience,
balance,
and healthy-looking glow.

Oil cleansing supports that softer approach beautifully because it helps cleanse the skin while still respecting what the skin naturally needs to function well.

Not stripped.
Not attacked.
Just supported.

The Glow We Believe In

At Love + Be Well, we are not interested in harsh skincare routines that constantly leave skin recovering.

We are interested in helping skin feel:
balanced,
hydrated,
comfortable,
calm,
and radiant naturally.

Sometimes healthier skin begins by doing less damage to it in the first place.

And honestly?
That gentler approach tends to create the most beautiful glow over time anyway.

Love + Be Well,
Natalie

A Simpler Organic Skincare Routine For Healthy Glowing Skin

A Simpler Organic Skincare Routine For Healthy Glowing Skin

One of the biggest misconceptions in skincare is that healthy skin requires an overwhelming ten-step routine.

Honestly?
Most skin thrives with simplicity, consistency, and supportive ingredients.

At Love + Be Well, we believe skincare should feel nourishing —
not stressful.

Because truly healthy skin is usually built through small daily rituals repeated consistently over time.

Not harsh trends.
Not constant overcorrection.
Not chasing perfection.

Just thoughtful care.

Why We Chose A Gentler Approach To Skincare

Over the years, we found ourselves moving further away from aggressive skincare routines and leaning more toward:
hydration,
barrier support,
probiotics,
botanical ingredients,
and nourishing rituals.

Especially as skin matures, overly harsh products often leave skin feeling:
tight,
inflamed,
reactive,
or depleted.

Healthy skin should feel balanced and comfortable.

That shift changed everything for us.

Step One: Detox Gently

Modern skin deals with:
pollution,
stress,
makeup,
environmental debris,
and daily buildup constantly.

That is one reason we love gentle detox rituals a few times weekly.

A good detox mask can help support:
clearer pores,
brighter-looking skin,
and healthier skin balance…

without leaving the skin stripped afterward.

At Love + Be Well, we especially love probiotic detox masks because they help support the skin barrier and microbiome while refreshing the skin gently.

Step Two: Cleanse Without Stripping

One of the healthiest changes many people can make is switching to gentler cleansing.

Traditional cleansers often strip the skin aggressively, which can create the exhausting cycle of:
dry skin,
oil overproduction,
irritation,
and imbalance.

Oil cleansing works differently.

Natural cleansing oils help dissolve:
makeup,
oil buildup,
pollution,
and impurities…

while still respecting the skin barrier and maintaining hydration beautifully.

Skin should feel soft after cleansing — not squeaky tight.

Step Three: Exfoliate Thoughtfully

Exfoliation can be incredibly supportive for healthy-looking glow when done gently and consistently.

Removing excess dead skin buildup can help skin appear:
smoother,
brighter,
and more refreshed overall.

But one thing we strongly believe:
more exfoliation is not always better.

Especially for sensitive or aging skin, over-exfoliation often creates more inflammation and imbalance.

Gentle, barrier-friendly exfoliation tends to create the healthiest glow long term.

Step Four: Hydrate + Balance With Toner

Toner became one of our favorite skincare steps because it helps refresh and rebalance the skin beautifully.

Especially probiotic toners that support:
hydration,
microbiome balance,
and barrier health.

We love applying toner before serums or moisturizers because hydrated skin tends to absorb skincare more beautifully overall.

That fresh, healthy glow often begins with hydration.

Step Five: Moisturize + Protect

Hydration is important —
but moisture helps seal that hydration into the skin.

That is why we love layering:
facial oils,
nourishing creams,
and barrier-supportive ingredients afterward.

As skin matures, this becomes even more important because the skin naturally loses moisture and elasticity over time.

Healthy skin barriers tend to glow differently:
calmer,
softer,
and more resilient.

Step Six: Daily Protection Matters

One thing we never overlook is protecting the skin from environmental stressors and UV exposure.

Healthy skincare is not only about repair —
it is also about protection.

Supporting the skin daily through hydration, antioxidants, nourishment, and SPF can make a significant difference over time.

Healthy Skin Is Built Through Consistency

At Love + Be Well, we are not interested in overwhelming routines or impossible standards.

We are interested in helping skin feel:
healthy,
comfortable,
balanced,
hydrated,
and beautifully supported through every season of life.

Because healthy skin is rarely created overnight.

It is built slowly through:
consistency,
gentleness,
hydration,
rest,
and thoughtful care.

And honestly?
That kind of glow never goes out of style.

Love + Be Well,
Natalie

Why We Love Probiotics For Skin

Why We Love Probiotics For Skin

Summer Skin, Sunlight & A More Balanced Approach

Summer Skin, Sunlight & A More Balanced Approach

There is something beautiful about summer skin.

Freckles appearing.
Sunlight warming your shoulders.
Salt air.
Bare skin.
Long evenings outside.

But summer is also the season when skin tends to need a little more support.

More hydration.
More protection.
More gentleness.

Because while sunshine can feel beautiful for the soul, too much exposure can leave skin feeling overwhelmed, dehydrated, inflamed, and prematurely stressed over time.

At Love + Be Well, we believe in approaching summer skincare with balance instead of fear.

Not hiding from life.
Not obsessing over perfection.
Just supporting the skin thoughtfully while still enjoying the season.

Spend Less Time In Harsh Midday Sun

One of the simplest things you can do for your skin is learning when to seek shade.

We love fresh air and sunshine, but prolonged direct exposure during the hottest part of the day can be especially hard on the skin.

Summer skin tends to do best with:
morning walks,
late afternoon light,
wide-brim hats,
linen clothing,
and slowing down enough to listen when your body has had enough sun.

Simple rhythms often work beautifully.

Protect Skin Thoughtfully

There is a lot of noise and fear online around skincare and sun protection.

At Love + Be Well, we believe in thoughtful, informed choices and supporting the skin gently and consistently.

We personally prefer mineral-based sunscreens and simpler ingredient lists whenever possible, while also relying on practical daily habits like hats, sunglasses, protective clothing, and shade.

No product replaces common sense and moderation.

And no single product should create panic either.

Don’t Forget The Small Areas

Summer sun tends to hit the places we forget most:

  • lips
  • ears
  • neck
  • chest
  • scalp
  • tops of feet
  • hands

These areas often show signs of sun exposure first over time, especially as skin matures.

A little extra care goes a long way.

Hydration Changes Everything

Hydrated skin simply functions better.

One of the biggest shifts we notice during summer is how quickly skin can become dehydrated from:
sun exposure,
heat,
travel,
salt water,
air conditioning,
and simply being outdoors more often.

Drink your water.
Eat water-rich foods.
Mist your skin often.
Use lighter hydrating layers instead of overly heavy products.

Summer skincare usually works best when it feels breathable.

Soothe Skin Gently

Sometimes despite our best efforts, skin still gets a little too much sun.

When that happens, we believe in responding gently instead of aggressively.

Cool showers.
Hydration.
Lightweight moisture.
Rest.
Minimal irritation.

Skin tends to recover best when supported calmly rather than overloaded with too many products all at once.

Check In With Your Skin Regularly

One of the most underrated forms of skincare is simply paying attention.

Notice changes.
Notice irritation.
Notice dryness.
Notice new spots or sensitivities.

Healthy skin is not about obsessing over every tiny imperfection — but becoming familiar enough with your skin to recognize when something feels different.

That awareness matters.

Summer Skin Should Still Feel Like Skin

We are not interested in “perfect” summer skin.

We are interested in healthy skin.
Comfortable skin.
Supported skin.
Skin that looks alive.

The kind of skin that comes from consistency, hydration, nourishment, protection, and enjoying your life without constantly fighting your reflection.

And honestly?
That glow tends to feel the most beautiful anyway.

Love + Be Well,
Natalie

Hydrated Skin Looks Different

Hydrated Skin Looks Different

When people think about glowing skin, they often focus on products first.

But one of the most overlooked foundations of healthy-looking skin is actually hydration.

Not just drinking water — although that matters too — but supporting the skin in a way that helps it stay comfortable, soft, balanced, and resilient over time.

Because dehydrated skin tends to tell on us quickly.

Tightness.
Flaking.
Dullness.
Sensitivity.
Fine lines appearing more noticeable.
Skin simply looking tired.

And honestly, modern life makes dehydration incredibly easy.

Your Skin Needs Support Too

We often forget that skin is not just something we look at.

It is a living, functioning organ constantly working to protect us every single day.

And like the rest of the body, skin functions best when properly supported.

Hydrated skin tends to:
look brighter,
feel softer,
appear smoother,
and recover more easily from environmental stressors.

Not because hydration is some miracle cure —
but because healthy skin simply works better when it has what it needs.

Water Helps, But It’s Not The Whole Story

Drinking enough water absolutely matters.

But hydration is not only about how much water we drink.

The skin barrier itself also needs support to help hold moisture in effectively. Otherwise, skin can still feel dry and depleted even when we are technically hydrated.

That’s why skincare rituals matter too.

Gentle cleansing.
Hydrating layers.
Facial oils.
Moisturizers.
Protecting the barrier instead of constantly stripping it.

Hydration works best as a full-body approach.

Hot Water Is Not Always Your Skin’s Friend

As comforting as long hot showers feel, they can leave skin feeling surprisingly depleted afterward.

Heat tends to strip away natural oils that help protect the skin barrier, which is one reason skin often feels tighter or drier after overly hot showers.

We love:
warm-not-scalding water,
shorter showers,
and applying moisture while the skin is still slightly damp afterward.

That small shift alone can make a noticeable difference over time.

Moisture Loves Consistency

One thing we have learned over the years is that skin responds beautifully to consistent care.

Not aggressive care.
Not occasional overhauls.

Consistency.

Hydrating toners, nourishing creams, and facial oils layered gently into the skin day after day often create far more lasting results than constantly chasing stronger products.

Especially as skin matures.

Facial Oils Can Be Beautiful For Dry Skin

There is still a misconception that oils automatically clog the skin or feel heavy.

But thoughtfully chosen botanical oils can actually help support hydration beautifully while leaving the skin feeling soft, nourished, and comforted.

We especially love facial oils for skin that feels:
tight,
dull,
depleted,
or stressed from overdoing active ingredients.

Sometimes skin simply needs replenishment.

Exfoliation Helps Hydration Too

Hydration is not only about adding moisture — it is also about helping the skin actually absorb the products you are using.

Gentle exfoliation can help remove buildup and dead skin cells that prevent skincare from penetrating effectively.

The key word is:
gentle.

Healthy skin rarely needs aggressive scrubbing to glow beautifully.

Healthy Skin Should Feel Comfortable

At Love + Be Well, we are much more interested in skin that feels:
healthy,
comfortable,
soft,
balanced,
and alive…

than skin chasing impossible perfection.

Hydration plays a huge role in that.

Because often the most radiant skin is simply skin that has been cared for consistently, nourished gently, and given enough support to function beautifully on its own.

Love + Be Well,

Natalie

Why We Chose A More Natural Approach To Skincare

Why We Chose A More Natural Approach To Skincare

Your skin absorbs more than most people realize.

And in a world where we are already constantly exposed to noise, stress, pollution, and overwhelm, we became increasingly interested in simplifying what we were putting on our skin each day too.

That curiosity is part of what led us toward natural and organic skincare in the first place.

Not perfection.
Not fear.
Not obsessively reading every label under a microscope.

Just a slower, more intentional approach to caring for ourselves.

Simpler Ingredients Feel Better To Us

Have you ever picked up a product and barely recognized a single ingredient on the label?

We’ve all been there.

One thing we love about many plant-based and organic skincare products is how grounding the ingredients often feel:
botanical oils,
aloe,
honey,
herbs,
plant butters,
minerals,
probiotics.

Ingredients connected to nature rather than overly engineered formulas trying to aggressively “fix” the skin overnight.

That softer philosophy has always felt more sustainable to us.

Supporting The Skin Gently

Over the years, we have learned that skin often responds beautifully to gentleness.

Especially sensitive, reactive, or mature skin.

Many conventional products can leave skin feeling:
tight,
over-exfoliated,
inflamed,
or stripped.

And while aggressive skincare can sometimes create fast visible changes temporarily, long-term skin health usually benefits from nourishment, consistency, hydration, and barrier support.

Healthy skin should feel comfortable to live in.

Organic Skincare + Sensitive Skin

One reason many people gravitate toward organic skincare is because simpler formulations can sometimes feel more supportive for easily irritated skin.

Of course every person’s skin is unique, but many people appreciate avoiding unnecessary fillers, overpowering fragrance, or overly harsh ingredients whenever possible.

At Love + Be Well, we formulate with the mindset that skincare should feel calming rather than stressful.

Real Skin Needs Nourishment

We think about skincare similarly to the way we think about food.

Quality matters.
Consistency matters.
Gentleness matters.

And while there is no such thing as a miracle product, supporting the skin with nourishing ingredients over time can absolutely make a difference in how skin looks and feels.

Beautiful skin is usually built slowly.

A More Thoughtful Kind Of Beauty

One thing we care deeply about is creating products that align with a slower and more intentional way of living.

Cruelty-free products.
Thoughtful ingredients.
Handmade formulations.
Less excess.
Less overwhelm.

Because skincare is not just about appearance.

It becomes part of your everyday rituals.
Your mornings.
Your evenings.
Your quiet moments.

And we believe those moments should feel good from beginning to end.

Progress Over Perfection

At the end of the day, wellness and skincare do not need to become all-or-nothing.

You do not need a perfectly “clean” bathroom cabinet to begin making more thoughtful choices.

Sometimes it simply starts with paying a little more attention.
Reading labels.
Choosing gentler products.
Listening to your skin.
Slowing down enough to care for yourself consistently.

Those small choices add up beautifully over time.

Natalie
