A crunchy savory superfood snack from Natalie’s kitchen — sprouted almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, nutritional yeast, and seasonings dehydrated into the ultimate glow-food snack.

These little crunchy clusters rarely last long in our house.

They’re salty, savory, deeply crunchy, and ridiculously satisfying when you want something quick to grab that actually leaves you feeling good afterward.

We keep jars of these on hand constantly for workdays, road trips, snack boards, movie nights, or honestly just random handfuls grabbed while standing in the kitchen.

And yes — they’re made with sprouted almonds and seeds.

If sprouting sounds intimidating, I promise it’s much simpler than it sounds.

Once you start doing it, it becomes second nature.

What Is Sprouting?

Sprouting helps wake dormant enzymes naturally found in nuts, seeds, grains, and legumes.

Many people choose sprouted foods because they may:

  • improve digestibility
  • help reduce phytic acid
  • support nutrient absorption
  • help break down complex sugars
  • increase enzyme activity

I personally love incorporating sprouted foods regularly because they simply feel easier on my digestion and incredibly nourishing.

Why We Love These

Sprouted Almonds

Packed with healthy fats, minerals, and crunch while becoming easier to digest once sprouted.

Pumpkin + Sunflower Seeds

Mineral-rich seeds loaded with healthy fats and satisfying texture.

Nutritional Yeast

Adds that savory cheesy flavor while bringing extra nutrients to the mix.

Dehydrating at Low Temperature

Helps preserve the benefits of sprouting while creating incredible crunch.

How To Sprout Almonds

You’ll Need

  • 1 cup raw almonds
  • filtered water
  • quart jar

Add almonds to the jar and cover completely with filtered water.

Leave on the counter overnight.

The next day drain and rinse several times until the water runs mostly clear.

For larger sprouts, allow them to soak another day.

At this stage you can:

  • refrigerate and use in smoothies
  • or dehydrate for crunchy snacks

Crunchy Sprouted Glow Almonds

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sprouted raw almonds
  • 1/4 cup sprouted pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup sprouted sunflower seeds
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • 1 tablespoon coconut aminos
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan salt

Directions

Sprout the almonds and seeds according to the instructions above.

After rinsing and draining, place them into a mixing bowl.

Add the nutritional yeast, coconut aminos, apple cider vinegar, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt.

Mix very well until evenly coated.

Spread onto dehydrator trays.

I like leaving some clusters touching so they fuse together into extra crunchy bites.

Dehydrate at 118 degrees for 12–18 hours until fully crunchy.

Store in a sealed glass jar at room temperature or refrigerate for extra crunch.

Pro Tip

These are incredible:

  • on salads
  • in grain bowls
  • crushed onto soup
  • on snack boards
  • tossed into wraps
  • or eaten straight from the jar

Glow Note

I love recipes like this because they make healthy snacking feel deeply satisfying instead of restrictive.

Big crunch. Big flavor. Real ingredients.

Honestly that’s usually all you need.
